Interned on the Global Sourcing and Manufacturing Footwear team as an industrial engineer in support of advanced manufacturing innovation. Performed process analysis and optimization tools to inform capital investment strategies and empower product creation.

Manufacturing Automation
Supported Manufacturing innovation team working to develop and implement a method of automated manufacturing for footwear. Created process analysis tool to predict cycle times and capacity while empowering product creation. Culminated in presentation to senior leadership at end of internship.
Cost Reduction Analysis
Provided process analysis and line layout support for team looking to implement new manufacturing process with the goal of reducing component costs by 25%.
Intl. Collaboration
Collaborated with innovation teams working overseas in the South Korea Product Creation Center on process layout and brainstorms. Great experience connecting with employees sitting in Asia to understand their roles and challenges.
Networking
Connected with dozens of Nike employees working across the organization. Met with employees working in product creation roles including Product Developers, Product Engineers, and Innovators. I was also fortunate to sit down with senior Nike employees to hear about their career journey and experiences at Nike.
Supply Chain University
Participated in the Nike Supply Chain University class taught by John McPhee for Graduate level Global Operations and Technology Interns.
Make Sport a Daily Habit
Participated in Bowerman 5k, ran on the "JOYriders" Hood-to-Coast team, and enjoyed the intern intramural sports including volleyball, soccer, and kickball.
